Patros rules 15/08/2009
So i was off to the beach after a nice breaky. Really enjoyed it, was very uplifting. Wasnt to crowded, expecially 6 in the morning... Extended my collection of stones.. hahh in every sence, my bags grew bigger, more stuff to carry. tra-la-lla.. By the way cut my leg, while was trying to catch the bus back to town. Just wanted to get the very last stone which grabbed my attention. Then started running like an idiot and slipped on a rock. But made it, there i was on the bus with a bleeding leg, soaking, in just a bikini. Ohh nearly forget the stones, packed in my towel.. Tried to sort out myself back in the city. I was in sour need of a suncream by that time. I looked rosted. Just my luck, its Happy day today, means nothing is open. Its to do with religion.. After a long expedition, just found a hole i could get some stuff. Among of all a cool hat! Just what i needed. Haha. During the day visited some churches, a castle n was roaming around randomly. Ohh the joy of travelling without a map and a plan! There r lots of ruins and old useless vehicles, motorbikes out on the streets.. Was wondering if they just for display, as part of the history, or... still in use?! Crazy.. Very old school. Made my way back to the beach at night, and spent the night there alone around a campfire. Classic. Living my dreams. I started to think about the choices i've made, how travelling has become my lifestyle, and even i was a good way from home, i thought, that after all that's happened, there's no place i'd rather be, than right here, right now. Hm its a long way to Patros. At last had a chance to read a bit, right in the swimmingpool! Until i droped it in the water.. typical. Later on after a bit of dancing was just chillin at the bar with some guys from Austria and Romania. They looked rather strange. But as they say dont judge a book by its cover, and I didnt, but should be more carefull.. Just before arriving I nicked out to the toilet, and this guy from romania robbed my phone, camera, some money and other belongings. Was so disappointed! I was the last person to leave the ferry, argueing with the security and the captain, they were bastards. I was shouting at me so badly, and it just wasnt fair. Was so pissed, throw my ticket into his face, told him to f*ck off and buggered of with my remaining packs. Headed to the police station. There all the folks were so friendly and helpful. Join them, went out to the city looking for this guy. But after an hour they just gave up. Spent the rest of the afternoon there. I hv been told here in Greece its not a big deal, its kinda normal, its not a gud thing if a girl travels on her own. Good start.. I should look on the bright side.. im quite lucky that i still got my passport , card and money... ahh and my ticket n skates! Anyway locked my stuff in a left lugagge n was off for a pint with the officers before exploring the city. Went to look for another camera. Asked a guy randomly where can i find a shop. He was so friendly, even took me there, then showed me around. Were sitting up on a high wall in the outskirts of town watching its vivid ligths below.Deep inside was a bit scarry, mainly because of the surrounding. Lots of homeless ppl around, who robbing tourist and make it into drugs..Somehow felt safe in the company of this guy. he was quitwe gentle and friendly, even offered a place at his parents. I know i shouldnt be this easy going when some1 just robbed me, but when he mentioned his mother got cancer, was up for it and just wanted to see her! Very nice family , we all went out for a meal. was looking forward to try out some special greec food. not understood a word from the menu, though had a so called Krepah, a heavenly delicous pastry, filled with cheese, bacon, chips, tomato.. The shef was so eager to show off his skills, nearly burned down the whole building. Finished the day with a wierd coffe.. have to say, thought they wanted 2 poison me. So stayed in his sister room. Woke up early in the morning and found myself out on the street somewhere, took that after having a wierd nightmare started sleepwalking what not happened to me since i was a kid. Strange! but blame it on the coffe! Thanx god only left my book and a towel behind. Sometimes it feels like God leading me on the way. Who knows what happens if i stay there, he might hv just saved me. |
